So last evening was the reception for my BFA Senior Show. Since my project was during the summer term, it was a closing reception rather than opening, so that there would actually be students and faculty on campus for it. It went so well!

I am so pleased for you! I so sadly regret not being able to make it doubly so because I have not seen anything you've worked on. Well I take that back. I saw a painting you did when you were eight, the kitty you drew on a napkin for ViVi, and Erica's left breast which was on a postcard but was apparently not the entire picture. My girls still tell people you are famous because your work was on a POSTCARD(!) and now ViVi tells people she is going to be a famous artist like her Aunt Kristy. Congratualations on everything. Can I get on that mailing list?

Wish I could've come to the reception, but maybe that's for the best. Either way, I've seen the work, and I love it. You've worked hard, and congratulations! You deserve this. I just hope one day I'm rich enough to afford your work.
