WARNING: I LOVED THIS EP!!!

(although, funnily enough ...my husband said, "Not a good sign when Doctor Who starts taking creative tips from Snakes on a Plane" XD)

I actually really enjoyed this ep, ngl XD It was a fun romp.

And I **loved** the girl-power motif. So obviously not a Moffat episode.

I agree with most of what you've written, but I'm a little confused. Hoping someone can explain. So, if the Doctor's been erased from everywhere... basically, what about what River said in AGMGTW? She said the word "Doctor" was interpreted in many cultures to mean warrior or something like that. Does that mean that is no longer true? Sorry, I get confused with universal re-writes and timey wimey type plots.

Hmm what about that moment Solomon looked the Doctor up to see what he was worth and nothing came up?

Yep, that's the moment that made me scratch my head. I mean that moment when River tells him about what "Doctor" means is pretty significant and a powerful moment. It would be a shame to invalidate it.

Your review makes me love the ep even more :) I didn't like the actress who played Nefertiti, but the girl power was definitely enjoyable!

So it was Bad Wolf bay, not just me going mad!
Rory's dad was awesome. It felt good to have some proper family/character interactions for once. Surprisingly, I liked Asylum (in spite of some cringe-worthy points, but it's Moffat, so...) but this one was so much better in terms of dialogue and characterization.

I liked that we got to see a darker Eleven, but I agree that it probably won't get developed as it would deserve to be. Shame :/

Not the only one. Also thought it was Bad Wlf Bay immediately.

LOL Chibnall really hated the Silurians. XD

I liked this ep just fine. (The beginning was so RANDOM though. Why did the Doctor even go pick up what-his-name-hunter-guy? And why did he even bring Nefertiti with him?)

Agreed about Nefertiti I just really didn't like she ended up with the hunter dude. I know we were supposed to see their arguments as flirting but it just left me feeling uncomfortable. I didn't like the hunter at all.

As for the Doctor killing Solomon - I liked it and didn't? IDK how to explain it. Like, I wish Eleven had a recognizable emotional arc that I can follow and then go OH YEAH HE'S SLOWLY LOSING IT or something, but I can't so W/E I guess this week he's like that, next week he won't be.

Amy was amazing. ♥ And completely agreed on #3, Eleven really doesn't seem to need the Ponds. Or any kind of lasting companions. Not at this point anyway.

1. I still assume nothing about the River/Eleven relationship til I see them on screen again this season, and even then I won't believe any of it cause it's Moffat. (And does River mostly show up in the episodes he writes ir is it just my imagination?)

2. Brian is awesome! I am sooooooo glad we finally got to see soime family, long enough to actually identify that they are family and see a bit of their character. PLUS PLUS PLUS, he went with the Doctor for a while (well, I assume so given the postcard from 'Siluria'), and now I want him to be a companion for a while :P

4. Yeah, I did that too.... Damn Bad Wolf Bay!

6. I felt childish, but didn't care, those robots were just too much fun!

11. That was pretty damn brilliant. Often see him kiss the girls, mostly on the forehead sure, but it was great to see him smooch Rory :D

12. Yes, I like Nefertiti. Admittedly, wasn't sure at the start but through the episode, yep, she's BAMF!

13. How to tell this WASN'T written by Moffat!!!!

Yes, Moffat writes all of the episodes in which River appears. This leads to the impression that she's a non-entity between episodes... :-/

I thought so...

Now I wonder if this is because Moffat doesn't want anyone else writing her or everyone else prefers not to include her?
