So make no qualms about it - working for Cirque is hard hard business. Forgive me if my grammar's off. My fingers hurt. I know that this will only be of intrest to only a certian few people who read my lj. I'm thinking about doing a Cirque fliter for my friends list. Its a long entry too, so I'm going to put this in a lj cut. Lots of enlighted ( Read more... )

This was a lot of fun to read. I've been fortunate enough to have spoken with various people that have given me the more realistic side of Cirque. I still am very much enchanted by everything but I've heard enough about the otherside to help keep things in perspective. A very real machine that produces unreal results.

I'm looking forward to more stories.

I will be posting up lots of stuff. I promise!

I'm so glad I could be a part of this experince. I always fear that I'm becoming too much of a Cirque groupie, with my constant fandom of various performers - Ivan and Anton mostly. But this whole experince is really doing me so much good. I swear. That's a fantastic way to sum up Cirque - a real machin producing unreal results. That Tapis Rouge pratically blew me away.

Hi Kim, I read this through Morpheus5050's link. Thank you so much for sharing your experience first day on the job!! I live in MA as well, but I live close to Springfield. Boston is just too long of a haul every day, especially with the traffic between here and there, that's why I didn't apply for it. When Varekai goes to Hartford though, I will be applying for that if I still have the opportunity to, that is much closer to me and even though it's such hard work, I know it would be such a rewarding experience! Keep up the hard work and I look forward to more posts! Have an awesome time!

Hi Amber!(I think that's your name, at least, according to your lj name)My geography of Mass. is limited only to Revere, Saugus, Peabody, Boston and Melrose. I hope you get a job with Varekai when they tour Hartford. If Varekai's Hartford stop coincides with my college vacation, I might also get a job with Cirque then too. Thank you for commenting on my journal. I read your comments from Nadia's journal.
:-D I shall update my journal with every one of my more memorabl Cirque experinces. Yes, the hard work is intense, but the payoff is even better. I'm excited to see the show and get all the little perks that Darrel promised we'll get if we stay true and reliable to Adecco and Cirque.

Awesome!!! Wow, I felt like I was there after reading that. (I always make pictures in my head while reading something, no matter what I might be reading actually.)I wish I could work with Cirque! I know it would have to be hard, I mean how huge the tents, the stage, everything is! All the merchandise and the costumes and the makeup. I wouldn't mind though, I would work so hard til I broke something or lost a limb in order to work with Cirque! Be a part of the magic that all spectators feel when they view the shows. Unfortunately I live in a tiny little city in South Carolina and I'm only 14, so no luck there. Thank you so much for posting this Kim! It's making me love and respect Cirque even more, as well as all the people who work there and put effort into everything! Not just the performers or the directors, not just the people you hear about, the people that put as much of a contribution into this as everyone else does, if not more of one! Thank you so much! I greatly enjoyed reading this!!!
