I have become obsessed with this Leonard Cohen song called Suzanne and I can't get it out of my mind. "She feeds you tea and oranges..."
My new life goal is to sing it once, amazingly well, before I die.

I am singing softly, sweetly, like I have no harm in my body, and it feels like a nice mask right now. Maybe I am singing to you, maybe just to myself.
Our thoughts are complex, but right now, I am glad that there are simple things, like these cross-legged conversations in our bedrooms, and the way these lyrics taste like mint tea on my lips.

Giving and breathing tonight in this sad, passive kind of way, where I outwardly move and inwardly block all movement out. This week is the time to bunker down, I think, and just protect whatever is still left breathing.

I can't get those little pools of blood out of my mind, and all that they imply. Crouching down and talking to a bloody man like we had the same experiences... how pretentious is that? Listening to his quiescent acceptance of the inevibility of his situation was hard to bear. Is there really nothing we can do but sweep up the mess?

I'm so queezy from trying to deal with photoshop... I literally don't think I'll be able to make this poster for this conference. Why does it have to be done on a computer anyway? How is it possible to feel hung over four hours after getting up when I felt fine this morning? Ugh. Stressed out drinking is not a good idea, cause it makes you unproductive for awhile, as fun as it is. I really hope this presentation will come together. I feel like I'm not articulating what I really want to say...
