Thank you for the update, ((((Kimby))))! I had been wondering how she and her family were doing. ((((Meneleth)))). Wow! Between this and the low pressure system here today (storm surgue MIGHT affect Grand Isle), and the earthquake in HI, one wonders what is going on.

Having lived most of my life in upstate NY and two years in Buffalo, I can tell you that "Buffalo Copes" is a fitting motto. I have never seen more neighborly people who shrug off weather that would bring Raleigh to it's knees and good naturedly dig themselves and each other out for the third time in a day. If anyone can get through this, Buffalo can.

We had a storm like that when I was a kid living in Denver. Late September, all the trees had leaves and branches fell all over the place. But it was remarkable how many of the trees survived it and grew strong again. Different shapes than they were, perhaps, but still lovely to behold.
