This will likely be my last post until after the New Year, which I say to cover myself if I really can't get online while I'm gone.

My mom does need to have neck surgery, though no date has been set yet. She can't do as much as she did so she will need my help while I'm there, which of course is fine.

The library Christmas party was today, and among the things served were the yummiest roasted vegetables I have ever tasted, and they weren't soaked in oil, either. Being on WW means having to scarf a lot of veggies but one gets tired of eating them raw, steamed, or cooked limp, but I've never tried roasting them before. Can any of you culinary ( Read more... )

Election Day is always on a Tuesday. I work late on Tuesdays. This means I must vote on Tuesday mornings as soon as the polls open and then get to work. 
Voting is a challenge in the township where I live. For one thing, the volunteers who staff the polls are all at least eighty years old, never get the polls open on time, and have a very hard time ( Read more... )
