you know, i normally feel such a sense of anticipation as a new year comes to greet us but this year that feeling is lacking a little bit for me.  2007 was probably the best year of my life....and i am wondering how 2008 could possibly top the wonderful things that happened to me last year.

so this has been quite the interesting summer for me.  it is the first summer that i have lived on my own, no one to tell me what i HAD to do at any given moment in time.  and i can have people over whenever i want, for as long as i want.  big YAY for that (ahhh....the simple things in life ( Read more... )

so i will be in fredericksburg on wednesday night (march 14) for a seminar discussion with the student teachers (surprise!) -- assuming that dr. sheckels still wants me to come. problem is that i need somewhere to stay that night - i am too old (haaaaaar) and tired to make a round trip to fredericksburg and back in a period of like 8 hours.
