Oh wow, S1 boys. *sigh* The discussions about what kind of end they could possibly be working toward were especially poignant.

I've been so nostalgic about season one boys lately...it's a strange revisit, isn't it? To think about from where they've come, and how they got to where they got?

Thanks for journeying with me. :)

Monkeys fic! A nice surprise for a Sunday evening.

I gotta tell you, I was going, "Oh, EWWWW" through all the food descriptions. I could see all of that stuff and my taste buds were not happy. Urgh.

Seems like it was a million years ago, Sam mourning his Jess and not knowing where to go or what to do when he got there. And yet - it's still true. Nice look at the boys, Kim. Hope all's well in your neck of the woods.

*hugs*

Things in my neck of the woods are...transforming; not bad, not great, just changing and resettling. Hope things are going smoothly for you.

It's no surprise I'm sure, I miss season one boys tremendously. *sigh* It's a strange thing to step back to that time...

Thanks for dropping by.

Ah, some old-school gen. That hit the spot. Tremendously vivid descriptions. Between that and your style - which, as you know, I'm quite partial to - this is the best I've read in a long-ass time. :)

Aw, thanks for that.

It's been ages since I read any fic *covers face* I'm a terrible fangirl. But it's interesting to stumbling through these old-boys bits and think about the road.

Monkeys fic and S1 boys! Two of my favorite things in the world. Actually THREE, because I love cheeseburgers even when they're crappy, and the description of the limp lettuce kind of made my stomach growl. *is hopeless*

This cracked me up: “That’s why you’re having chili and onion rings, too. We’ll cancel each other out”

... and everything else pretty much broke my heart. Lovely. Thank you!

Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm always good for a retro reel through season one and a good description of crap diner food. :D

Oh, and flatulance jokes. Because I am a six-year-old boy inside, just like Dean.

I think I kinda love thid. There were a couple of lines that knifed me through the heart, but context is key, and man... the bundle of feelings of lost and confused and angry and helpless and hopeless Sam's entangled in breaks my heart for me.

And Dean being Dean, just doing his best to hold it together and hold THEM together and move foward somehow. Because that's all he has too. Sad.

Good job here.

I have to say when I skimmed through this fic after not having eyes on it for over a year, I got a bit melancholy for the early days when the pain and anguish was still about the tangible loss of people and home, and not about the weight of the world...

*sighs*

Ah, well. Evolution and change never were my strong points.

Thanks for reading. I'm glad it worked for you.
