The pet store! [,small>She smiles brightly] I wanted a pet, but I don't know what sorts of animals they have here... They didn't have giant racing snails, or giant bats, but they had this!

Apparently. They had all sorts of animals. Cats and dogs, and things called 'hamsters' and 'ferrets.'

[Dist wasn't initially going to stop. Unfortunately, the little rabbit-creature clambering over his chair spotted the cookies and started mieuuuuuuuing into his ear and would not stop.

So, have a Dist floating on over in his absurd pink throne, waving idly as the Cheagle hops off of the arm and onto the table.]

[The question brings Empress's attention from the Cheagle to Dist, to the spider, then back to Dist] Hm? This? yes, it is. At least, that's what the man in the pet shop told me.

[The Cheagle makes a happy little mieu! as though that will explain everything, shaking his tail(well, okay, with how short the tail is it's more like wiggling his butt) cheerfully. Dist doesn't often take him out, so he's a little bit excited.]

That's Sol. He's a Cheagle, little animals from my world. This one in particular was one of my lab animals that Mayfield so kindly returned to me.

[He plucks up one of the cups of lemonade from off the table. This should be entertaining, kids.]

A...cheagle? [But she smiles at it] Pleased to meet you, Sol, I'm the Childlike Empress. [and she reaches out a finger to gently pet his head.

And then she turned quickly to look at Dist, expectantly. SHE HOPES YOU LIKE IT.]
