[ Bhamba has been unable to find Amy or her eggs for a while now. He has however been able to find books on cooking crocodiles and blood stains that are none too reassuring.

So when he prowls the hallways looking for his dear pet he is so lost in unpleasant thoughts that he needs to literally bump into Jack before he notices the man and his... meal.]

What the- I don't even know what I'm supposed to yell at you in a situation like that!

[Probably, Bhamba, your best bet would have been to not yell at him at all, let alone run into him. His response is purely instinctual, panic way back in the lizard brain: caught I've been caught behind me quick turn around or die.

So he turns, bringing his wrench up and around with him in a vicious lash.]

[ Oh now you're telling him. Thank you, narration, really. That was very helpful. I will make sure to pass it on once he's done stumbling backwards and clutching his head, managing to give Jack an utterly confused and terrified look before falling to the floor.

We want to say that Bhamba thinks about how curious it is that people normally only yell back at him for something like that, but truthfully there is not much thinking going on besides the pain and general lack of comprehension. ]

[Another hit should do it--

The strange thing about Rapture is that, despite the rate of horrible deformities, splicing doesn't seem to cause anyone to lose their hair. And that man on the floor is decidedly bald.

Jack lets out a low moan, his wrench clattering to the floor, and skids to his knees, taking Bhamba by one shoulder and shaking him desperately.]

Dr. Bhamba? Dr. Bhamba? I didn't mean to. Get up.

[YOU SHOULD HAVE NOT HIT ME!] angel_junk November 11 2010, 15:51:35 UTC
[ The shaking? Not the best thing you can do to a person with a severe head injury.

Bhamba lifts one twitching hand, presumably to touch whatever oddly warm substance is suddenly running down the side of his head. ]

Whyd...?

[ Buuut after a moment he decides that it's just not worth the effort and perhaps his eyes are better off rolled back and perhaps he should just stop moving. At all.

Fun fact 2: Splicing causes quite the resistance to a number of injuries, but without that padding one hit will often do just fine to off the desired target. ]

[Hey, the narration never claimed to be a doctor.

Jack stops shaking Bhamba and starts shaking himself, dropping the scientist when his hands begin to quiver too hard to hold on. In his distress, it doesn't occur to him to wonder at the fact that he's suddenly, painfully conscious of everything around him, that rational thought is back and it hurts, that he's found his voice again.]

Wake up. Wake up!

[THAT'S IT, FIRST THING AFTER THE EVENT WE'RE GETTING YOU A FAKE RUBBER WRENCH!] angel_junk November 11 2010, 18:03:55 UTC
[ Bhamba would love to respond to that, if only with a petulant, "I can't, you killed me!" but alas, he is too dead to do so.

Blood flows slowly down his face, but after a while that too stops. ]

[Jack stands up, backs away, and his foot skids on his blood-slick wrench, almost sending him toppling to the ground again. It's too much. Ignoring the pain in his rolled ankle, he turns and runs.]
