Who: Ichijouji Ken, Ichijouji Osamu, Akiyama Ryo When: March 13th morning/early afternoon Where: Digital World Summary: Worried about possible re-death of Osamu, Ken decides to search for him. ( Digi-port Open! )
‘Jackass.’ Ken thought to himself as he heard the last comment. ’How am I supposed to respond to that?’Biting into his lower lip, he picked up his partner and held him for comfort
( ... )
’Thanks to a certain idiot.’ Ken bit back his words. As much as angry as he was, he wanted to be civil still. Ignoring the comment, he just spat out, curtly. “So, with what idiotic intention did you come to the Digital world on your own?” …Civil didn’t work, but at least he was acknowledging that older man was trying.
Wormmon was already sound asleep, and Ken was glad, spotting a line of green on the horizon. They were getting very close to the nearest portal, and that meant he could too, pass out soon.
“So you’re saying, you came to search for ENIAC?” Ken asked quietly, after a moment of silence. Not waiting for an answer, Ken stared at the remaining bit of water briefly, and then passed it to the shorter man. “Drink up. I don’t want your dead weight on my back again.” He tried to sound resentful.
In times of extreme stress, he found himself turning more and more to Buddhism. It was calming, and he found he could live quite well within its tenets. And when his world collapsed, it was easier to deal when he could focus on something else

Monodramon was, of course, one step ahead of him. He ran away from the path to the shrine, to a little clearing beyond the obscuring bushes, and evolved to Strikedramon, then Cyberdramon. Without a word, he slashed open the barrier between worlds and knelt to allow Ryo to climb onto his back. Ryo murmured a quick thanks and was barely on before Cyberdramon darted into the gash. He was only granted enough time to seal the gash and get a reading off the digivice before Cyberdramon flew off to a direction he specified
( ... )
The digivice finally pinged when they were close enough for Cyberdramon to slow down his flight. Ryo scanned the ground below and sighed, tension, anxiety, and strain seeming to pour from his body and leave him a boneless heap on Cyberdramon's back. Ken, Osamu, and Wormmon barely fifty meters away and closing. He let Cyberdramon get a little closer before nudging him in for a landing.
Ten meters out and Cyberdramon landed. Ryo shuffled through the sands, eyes only for Osamu. Nothing else mattered. He smiled slightly. "Hey pretty. Wanna take a ride with me?"
Bruises and cuts would heal. They didn't matter to him. What mattered was that Osamu was well enough to stand and react to him. He leaned forward and brushed away the hair from his beloved's eyes. "You have no idea."
The pouch he kept his juzu in, hurriedly tied to his belt and only kept on by pressure between his body and Cyberdramon, took that moment to fall onto the desert sands. A few care-worn prayer beads spilled out, and he took no notice.
(OOC: Juzu are basically like rosaries but without the crucifix. They're used in meditation. Ryo uses them as an outlet for worrying and other issues related to his PTSD.)
Ken gazed at the falling Juzus. Sandy dry wind of the desert covered up the evidence of concern in a blink, yet it reassured Ken. Surely, his head was still a bit of mess, and he still didn’t know how to treat this being, who refers to him as ”my younger brother” .
But if there was one thing that was certain, was happiness of his long-time friend. Although he couldn’t help but wince a little at the pick up line, Ken made no mention.
Heavy, anxiety ridden mood has dissolved momentarily with distraction in name of the hero, Ken decided to simply turned around and started walking away.
