Handbrake is fast. I ripped one movie to mpeg-4 in 15 minutes the other day. That averaged about 180 fps. I don't know how or why it ripped so fast. Usually mpeg-4 goes at about 90 fps. h.264 goes at about 30fps with all the quality options on - deinterlaced, 2500kb, 2 pass, etc. It's much faster than my G5 and Kris's macbook, but I don't have anything more modern to compare it to. What's it like on your iMac?

I've never used VisualHub.
