Just had a 4.7 Earthquake... for those of my friends living in Earthquake prone areas that probably doesn't seem like a big deal but it certainly wasn't fun in my 20th floor apartment.

Not usually one to post this sort of stuff and it's tight for everyone at the moment - but if you know anyone that can spare any money, whole towns have been flattened by the worst bushfires in our history and will need every cent to help them over the next few years. Leave a comment  3 

I'm very busy cooking... 3 dozen mini quiches down... another four to go. Catering breakfast for 20+ people is much harder than I expected.

I did discover a good trick involving a heavy based roasting tray underneath the muffin tins to help cook the bases without the need for blind baking (a nasty job with small quiches and puff pastry)

Everyone I know is sick at the moment and they've nicely decided to share a bug with me... I'm going to see a preview show of Wicked tonight with my parents tonight... I'm so excited - although I'm really wishing my sister could be in town to come with us. Family nights just aren't the same without her.
