Is there a third "take her to the vet and ask for some sort of medication" option?

agreed -- uncontrollable urination could equal a lot of odd problems, diabetes, feline leuk (more rarely, obviously) et cetera, coupled with not wanting to be touched? this is an issue for your vet should you wish to take said cat there.

Have you had your vet look into matters? I know that when Bean used to pee inappropriately a lot, it turned out that that was his (then undiagnosed and uncontrolled) diabetes. Getting that under control got rid of most of it.

In addition to the reasons already stated, female cats are prone to urinary tract infections. A round of antibiotics could be the solution, but she has to be tested first (and apparently you're being tested as it is...)
