If you're getting hit in the back you should be sitting further forward when sitting the boat.

Catching big crabs and limboing back is normal.

If I sat much further forwards, I'd be at frontstops - and clashing blades when #3 hit backstops. Not that it's likely to matter any more, now we're finally going all 8...
