Why is it that often doing the right thing, or the nessecary thing almost exclusively feels like shit?

I've found that doing the right thing for the right reasons can be uplifting.

As for doing what's necessary, you do what needs doing. When I was growing up; my father said to me "The difference between a man and a full grown male is that a man does what needs to be done, when it needs to be done; regardless of his feelings or personal consequences."

Because good people do things that are right and necessary...even if it is right and necessary for someone else.

You probably don't want an answer to this, so I'll just say that I've found that, in the long run, doing the right thing is almost always better for those concerned.

That being said, I'm not sure what you're talking about so I hope your version of "the right thing" isn't something like "turning Kate in for not hvaing an inspection sticker". *lol*

Well you know how I get when I see traffic violations, I'm sorry Kate, but I have to report you!

Nice. Thanks. Remind me to let the air out of your tires later. ;)

I will, I just have to go turn myself in for speeding these last few years first.

If robbing banks felt shitty, then well, i'd have less friends in jail.
If doing the right thing always felt good, then there would be less shitbags.
If bears are in the woods, they are obligated to shit everywhere.

These are some of life's wisdoms.

How true, especially that last one.
