9th Short - [Voice] + [Action]

[Happy Monday morning, everyone! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and Oswald is making a racket. Through the journals and later outside your window!]

[Pause for dramatic effect.]That's right, Oswald Day! You may have seen it on the calendar at the Welcome Center and thought to yourself "

...Oswald Day? [Skeptical Roxas is Skeptical.] How come you get a whole holiday?

'Cause I'm me! I don't have a real birthday, so this is the next best thing.

I guess that's fair enough. Did you create it all yourself then?

Yeah! ... Well, I got to borrow some stuff from the S.O.S. Brigade, but I'm setting everything up myself.

[It's about 2 or so when Terra and Seto come walking into the plaza. Well, technically only one of them is walking, Seto is currently getting a piggy back ride from the other. With his arms wrapped loosely around Terra's neck and head resting on his back, it almost looks like he's asleep.

In fact in his condition he should be sleeping in bed but hey, Oswald Day only comes once a year! ...Right? Well either way this kid was stubborn enough to convince Terra to join him so might as well have as much fun as he can with his fever and aching body.

He opens his eyes a little and speaks just a little above a whisper] Did we miss anything...?

[Action]

[When he first gets a good glance of Seto, Oswald's so shocked his ears nearly fall off. This kid is really sick! Then, a smug sort of satisfaction fills him at the thought that even people who're so ill they can't even walk are struggling to show up for his cartoon marathon.]

Nah, I just started the first cartoon short. You and your friend can go have a seat! ... Do you, uh, want a glass of water? [He does feel kind of guilty that Oswald Day is apparently such a big success that it's dragging sick people out of bed.]

[Terra manages a slight smile as he starts in the direction of the seats.] Thanks. I think he'd appreciate it.

Oh good... [It's a good thing you answered for him Terra 'cause Seto missed half of what Oswald said. He didn't mean to but he's pretty out of it right now. Seto gives Oswald a weak smile then rests his head on Terra's shoulder so he can look at him.

Gonna poke his cheek gently too] Can--can we stay for the special surprise too..? Pretty please...?

[Grune is certainly not one to miss a parade, and so at some point, Oswald will acquire one more person in his little line-up. She's not the clearest on what she's supposed to be celebrating, but parades are fun no matter the occasion!]

[Perfect! The parade's getting bigger. Oswald lowers his trumpet and waves merrily at Grune.]

Welcome, welcome! Happy Oswald Day!

Thank you! Happy Oswald Day to you, too! [She totally knows what that is.]

[Throughout the day Marco's just rolling his eyes. Because really? How over the top. But once it hits ten pm and there's those fireworks, he takes it all back. Fireworks are always worth it. He's pretty distracted mesmerized by all the pretty fire, so much that he doesn't even realize he has his tail feathers out despite otherwise appearing human. Feel free to point out that particular oddity.]

[Oswald just stands back for a long time, examining his handiwork with the fireworks. Then he finally tears his gaze from the sky to glance at his surroundings. He just hopes the other villagers will appreciate the show as much as he does.

His eyes fall on Marco's tail feathers, but he doesn't consider them odd at all. In fact, he thinks they're pretty cool.]

Hey, nice tail!

[Blinks at little in surprise but then grins and flashes a hand signal of approval back.]

Nice ears matey.

Hahah, thanks! They're multifunctional, too.

[He lifts a hand to his left ear and tugs it off his head. Then he gives it a firm shake and it curves into a boomerang, which he throws into a random direction. It loops around a house before landing deftly in his hand again.

There are days when he loves being a cartoon character.]

[So, Peach went to watch the Parade ebcause, really? Parades are awesome and since the whole 'we rescued the Star Spirits' deal she haven't seen one. Sadly, amid the crowd, she fails to spot Oswald.

Although, later on, when she goes to see the screening, she finally crosses paths with him!]

Hi Oswald! I didn't know you had a holiday all for yourself. That's such a wonderful thing!

And I didn't know you were a, well, a star. [She can't help but chuckle lightly.]

[If it isn't his fellow royalty! Now that he's no longer dripping, Oswald can take off the top of his head for her and tip it was if it were a hat, a small bow accompanying it.]

Hey Princess! 'Course I'm a star. One of the biggest stars of my age! I just don't like to brag, ya know? [Except that he does it all the freakin' time.]

[At first, she's kind of surprised with how he just... removes his head like that. But she can't say that it isn't pretty amusing. Funny even. And it isn't like she never saw creatures detaching body parts before.]

That's good to hear! I can't wait to see your movies. I beat they are great. [Peach doesn't mind bragging, so, don't worry about that.]

Well, have a seat, then! You can go right in the front row over there, so you can get the best view.

[It's hard to tell what Oswald means with the "front row", exactly, seeing as people are sitting scattered across the ground.]
