Well, I went to this movie expecting something really dumb, with a bunch of *groan (that's not funny)* moments, and was pleasantly surprised.  There were some pretty hilarious gags, the 'Quiet Place', 'Cool Beans', 'Animal Spirits', the insane acid trip (*whoosh*) and that crazy dancing guy.  And, while simplistic, the story wasn't bad, it was a ( Read more... )

After last week's breakdown and near breakup, we seem to be doing better.  I'm taking things less personally, and we seem closer than we had been.  I'm also feeling a lot more happy and lighthearted, with a lot less negative feeling and frustration.  I felt very romantic the other night, riding ( Read more... )

Last night was the Arcade Fire concert, and it was awesome.  Not as intimate and involved as David Usher, as can be expected at such a large venue, but still a really great show.  David Usher also seems to be one of those special artists who really knows how to connect with people.  Anyways, The Arcade Fire was the second-best concert I've been to ( Read more... )

Success!

To my surprise, I was able to make a decently good cup of coffee on the first try - maybe because I did a bit of research first.  All that's left to do is experiment with different beans and water/grounds combinations, and I'll have the perfect cup of coffee.  I'm quite impressed, and happy with my accomplishment. ^_^

I'm so tired.  Like I could just put my head down on the desk and go to sleep right now, I'm so tired.  And I thought I slept well last night... Seriously, my hands are weak.

I was just organizing photos in my folders, and saw Jim's obituary.  I also saw a picture of Uncle Tom, who is now separated from Aunt Nancy.  It reminded me everything is changing...
