What, so now we're having a war? Why? For the hell of it? 'Cause I'd bet money that this is a classic example of a pointless war. Tch... These deities are sick bastards.

And I'm really sick of this city smelling like blood. I can't stand it.

Looks a lot like it's "for the hell of it". At least so far I can discern no other reason - as with all curses. And it's gotta be a curse.

The rulers are seen as god-like figures but they don't have the supernatural powers of a god. They still only have the capabilities of a human, except for the immortality bit.

Hmm... well, I guess I can sort of see where they're coming from. Everyone wants their ruler to make the right choises, ideally always.

Not only that, but in the class system in my world rulers are the second highest ranking. They're right below the gods themselves, which technically makes them the highest power. So... they're basically semi-mortal gods.

Kirin are similar, but we serve the rulers. So we're not really as high.
