Mild excitement and a shamless plug.
I've had a couple of really good weekends in a row. Bardic Bedlam was a blast, and I wrote. This weekend there was an excellent band playing. I got to listen with some very good company. The next day, helped a friend in the group that's going through the AFI Top 100 Movies list make his sister (also in the group) a delicious belated birthday meal ( Read more... ) -

Some Very Delayed Thoughts about Film
I, along with some friends, are watching the AFI top 100 films of all time, from 100 to 1. I'm going to get to watch some movies I really like, as well as some of the movies that film buffs "should" see. It's a great time, and there's food, and since the movies are on DVD, we can burst out with the comments that won't be contained and just skip ( Read more... ) -

The book I randomly grabbed off my shelves to re-read (because the eight books I checked out from the library last night just aren't enough) is about the sacred/spiritual quest. As I was unpacking in my now deliciously warmed house (sequels forthcoming), some friends got to see stuff of mine they had managed to not see before. Purpose
I tend to feel useless at this time of year. I'm the office manager for a construction/remodeling company, so winter = seasonal unemployment. (Unlike the crews, my unemployment means a few hours each week - but still.) This year I'm busier (for a little while yet) because of the unpacking, but sometimes it just feels - busy.
