So today Adam and I competed in the Feis (pronounced Fesh). I competed in the solo reel and light jig, Adam and I in the 2-hand reel. There was only one other "couple" in the 2-hand. There were about 8 or 10 in the reel and 10 or 11 in the jig. I did not manage to place in the jig. I'm OK with that. That being said, Adam came away with a gold medal ( Read more... )

So last night hubby stonehenge1121 and I are eating one of those gigantic carmel chocolate apples. He cut it in half and then sliced that into quarters. We finished those pretty quick! So hubby and I go down to Pittsburgh to see the family. As we go downstairs to drive to see my Grandma (we were going to take my Mom's car, a Lexus) my Dad says "Hey I got a new car." I ask what it is and he says "You'll see when you go in the garage." Yeah, Do I ever!!!

So has anyone else heard about the fact that the Geico Cavemen may get their own TV SHOW?? Personally, I think the commercials are pretty stupid and I much prefer the squirrels and the station wagon. Hey all. I figured I'd give a bit more warning this time! The Central New York Feis (Irish Dance competition) is APril 28th, a Saturday. Hubby and I will be competing in one dance together and hopefully I will work on at least 1 or 2 more solo dances. We'd love to have friends come out and cheer us on. This weekend, Sunday to be more exact, our Irish Dance school is having our annual Hoolie, or fund-raising party, essentially. It's at the Clarion Riverside from 2-6 or 7 (I forget) and we will be dancing at 3 and 5. There is a $5 admission fee. Food is available - Corned beef and cabbage, soda bread, etc etc. Max cost is also 5 bucks for food. ( Read more... )

Our cat is back at the vet. He went in this morning at about 10:30. They were going to catheterize him again as he apparently didn't get rid of all the stones last week.
