All right. I'm only going to post this once. It will not be friends-locked, so if you want to point people in my direction, it is much appreciated

You don't know me at all, but I'm also severely broke, and have been for a while, but I do have the tiniest little bit left in my paypal account. It's yours. I know it's extremely small but I'm hoping it'll do some good. I know how you feel... I hope things get better for you.
Thank you! You are awesome. Once I'm out of this predicament, I think I'll bake cookies for everyone who donated (since Paypal automatically includes addresses). You are at the top of the list.
No, really, I have no credit that I know of. I've never had a credit card, my car is owned outright. The only this I have to build credit at the moment is my lease on this apartment, and I have no idea what credit I've built from it or how good it might be.
So you've got no credit, which is in some cases just as bad as bad credit...
And the reason I ask is, if you're credit isn't super shiny already anyway, there's a very easy way for you to handle the medical debt. It'll hurt, but it'll hurt less than a super bad credit score and *will* eventually go away.
Declare bankruptcy when it's all over.
Don't be proud, don't fret about it. You'll just be another statistic... another person declaring bankruptcy over medical bills.
Believe me, I am open to that. My parents and I are still discussing what's going to happen when it's all over. We're just trying to focus on getting the surgery done first.
You're welcome! I had a friend in high school who had to have her gall bladder taken out, so I know what that pain looks like. I also know, from Megan's house fund, how each and every dollar does add up.
Got here via theferret. I sent the little that I had to spare your way. I don't need cookies, though I appreciate the thought. I just needed the chance to be of some help to someone today. Thanks for giving me the opportunity.
