Wildfire at sunset ...

I was looking through some of my lookout pictures from last summer, and found a sunset shot of my September wildfire that I liked, but that I hadn't shared because there was a tree messing with the composition. So I played around a little bit yesterday and photoshopped out the tree, and was pretty happy with the result:

Well really, what possible reason could you have for wandering around at night? It's not like you had something important to do out there, like fetching a stick.

Great photo!

Thanks, Glenn! That fire sure made for some spectacular views.

But yeah ... without Lewis' ears, the photo just wouldn't be the same. :)

It was quite the evening up there.

And Lewis is a wise and cautious dog. I'm sure he really wonders about me sometimes ...

Those wonderful ears of his are clearly aimed directly to keep track of you! What a marvelously loving guardian you have. (Two, of course, but Lewis is the subject this time.)

BTW: The photo looks dramatically great, too. Nice job!

They're both marvelous, companions, of course ... but I'm not sure how much of a guardian Emma would be. She's beautiful enough to be able to get away with being more self-absorbed. ;-)

And thanks! Getting rid of the tree in that photo was a fun challenge, but I didn't have to do much else to the pic at all.

It's just nice to know that someone cares about me ... even if it's just a neurotic dog. ;-)

You sound as sad as a damn poet!

Maybe instead of being a sad poet, I'm just a snarky poet ... ;-)
