I've also fallen out of the habit of wearing heels, I don't know why, since I have some lovely shoes. Tonight I'm off out in a six inch pair, so maybe that evens things out. ;-)
I tend to make this chicken and mushroom risotto, sometimes I'll just top up the amount of mushrooms and leave out the chicken. It's really easy and very tasty.
Risotto is something I was always intimidated by, but I don't know why as I've since discovered its easy peasy. Favourites are squash and peas or squash and bacon, sweet potato subs easily for squash, although lately I make my super green veg one a lot. That one has sage and lemon zest flavouring it along with the other basics and loads of peas, and broad beans and a courgette stirred in in the last minute. I followed the proportions on the back of the rice pack in terms of liquid to rice and made up the rest as I went and its always been fine.

When we get our piano I'm thinking of having some lessons on that, and maybe some singing too so music is all good in my book!

Or if you want to make a traditional risotto with adding the stock gradually, this is a good starting place: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/5612/lemon-and-pea-risotto
They're all dead simple and then you can tweak the ingredients depending on what you have in your cupboards :-)
