Serena, looking so desperately for something to read other than the magazines in her room, wanders onto the deck. Her eyes light up upon seeing a book. "O-Oh! How did- where did you..." she trails off, mumbling and playing with her hair.

"Pretty blond Frenchman, babe." He looks over and grins. "He loaned it to me, I gave him The Communist Manifesto."

She nods, taking a seat in the nearest lounge chair, sitting sideways. "Oh, politics," she says, understanding somewhat, feeling rather childish for searching for something along the lines of ChickLit.

"Yeah, but philosophy, too." A grin. "Philosophy professor at NYU."
