"Jack, we lost the others!" Romy burst out. They had run further into the forest once the giants had taken on the town, moving towards the campus.

A group of them had collected themselves as a defense but they were already splintering and falling apart. And even with Jack, Romy felt alone. And cold. And scared. She hated that combination.

(huffs, storming out of the cafeteria)
