I started a new job today, at the Women's Breast Health Centre at the Civic. Yay for 10 minute bus rides/15 minute bike rides/30 minute walks to work and no changing buses. Woohoo! The girl who lives above us has an addiction. Unfortunately, for this type of addiction I don't know if there are any support groups. It would be much simpler if there were, because I think a few helpful pamphlets stuffed under her door would be a much nicer intervention than screaming "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TURN THAT THING OFF!!!" and slamming ( Read more... )

As of today I have signed up for two courses in the Winter semester at Carleton. Not going to school has turned my brain to mush. It will be nice to have something to do until September.

I think that Gregers Werle, in the play The Wild Duck by Henrik Ibsen, is one of the most despicable characters in literature.

There's nothing better than waking up at 6 am, getting ready, taking two buses to get to work, arriving at 7:30 and promptly realizing that you're actually not scheduled for the 10th, but for the 11th and 12th.
