anyhow, as i commonly do after seeing a film i came home and was reading some reviews. i am kind of shocked at a) how little most reviewers understand the horror genre and b) how many reviewers write off a movie simply based on the level of gore. like the fact that a movie has gore is a reason in and of itself to say a film is bad. that to me is so small minded.

this is why i dont read reviews of horror movies. they always get reviewed badly for the sole fact that its a horror movie. granted, alot of them probably deserve it, but not all of them. i dont understand why every movie with vin diesel where he shoots at least 79332 people get rave reviews but amityville horror and saw(minus the terrible acting from the dude from the princess brides) got horrible reviews.
