I am not a New York transplant. I am an SF transplant. If all goes accordingly, I will move back to the Bay Area next year. That being said, I do love New York and I am no longer homesick. Yesterday I went to Madison Square Park for the Big Apple BBQ. I saw someone who looked a lot like Christopher Kale Jones from Jersey Boys. He lives in NYC so I'm sure it was him. I finally saw Avatar in 3-D last night with Trinette and Greg. I was disappointed I didn't get a chance to watch it in California and pay half the cost, but it was a fun experience. And if you pay $16.50 to watch it (and not even IMAX), it's bound to make $1 billion. I knew there'd be a sequel, but it looks like a trilogy is in the works. Blah ( Read more... )

This entry is long overdue. I moved out of Union Square and I enjoy living in the $1 million apartment with Trinette and Jessica. They are friends from North Carolina. I finally saw a celebrity! Sarah pointed out David Hyde Pierce (without his partner) on the subway. He went to Times Square, probably for Broadway-related stuff. I've only seen one episode of Frasier, but maybe I'll start watching now.

I'm moving out of the NYU dorm tomorrow into a $1 million apartment in Long Island City, Queens. I'm staying for a month and then we'll see if I leave New York. After my extensive apartment search (Excel spreadsheet included), I now know how to navigate the subway system and understand different areas of Manhattan. And just like that, it's over. The Summer Publishing Institute and boyfriend are no more. The good news is I have a job interview on Monday. I'm going to try to relax this weekend in Central Park.
