10,000 Page Challenge

Sep 30, 2010 19:55

I've decided to make my reading list into a 10,000 page challenge.  Basically, I'm going to be trying to read 10,000 pages within a year.  This is slightly less than 30 pages a day.  That's not necessarily a lot, but it is EVERYDAY.  I started making my list on September 25, and happened to note where I was on the books I was in the middle of, so ( Read more... )

Yes! We will be team "Awesome Readers!" and keep the spirit going long after we wish to give up (which I believe is scheduled for November 7 actually....)

haha... yeah... I'm still not up to that one. But all that progress on the graphic above is due to me finishing Men at Arms! :) I'm working through the Guard novels right now.

It's awesome that you're doing this!

While I do think that it would be a bit easier using a set number of books instead of pages, it's still really cool.

What's the math here...if working under the assumption that a standard book is about 250 pages long...and you want 10000, that's about 40 books! That's doable if you take 2 or three books a week!

I can't participate, since I've got my own reading to do, but keep us updated!

School readings count too, so you could do this if you like. In fact, that's why I chose pages over Berry's 2-books a week -- I can count the journal articles I read too! not to mention all the books I start and wander away from

I'm not really doing any math. I've set up an excel file to do the math for me. If you want to do it too, let me know and I can hook you up with it. :)
