I've totally figured out this arc in KHR. Some small children knocked off the letter to Giotto that the Shimon were coming so he didn't know, and that's why the Shimon thought they were betrayed. :I IT'S LIKE HISTORY DEJA VU.

I had been having some second thoughts on doing Gwendolyn. I was worried about how I'd feel wearing the costume, as I'm not very confident in basically all it shows off.
