The 5k went really well. I had my fastest time ever - 30 minutes flat, and I even walked a tiny bit (1-2 minutes) because my knee started to bother me.

I'm sitting in Narita airport waiting for my flight to start boarding after a wonderful vacation here in Japan with my friend Charley. We did TONS of stuff, had a great time, he took over TWO THOUSAND pictures, and it was really one of the most fun/nicest times I've had in Japan for a long time. So I've been running for little over 2 months now, and I just killed my first pair of running shoes yesterday. II only put about 100-150 miles on them, but they are crappy to begin with. The best though is I killed my first pair of running shoes with my first 10k run. Woo-hoo ( Read more... )
