Good on yer! It's the "let's stand buy and do nothing to correct ignorance" attitude that causes the most harm, because people don't have any idea what they're saying. Then again, at least you can recognize when someone's making a joke, too...

One of the 19 year olds in my co-op (yes, they only allow in under-21s by strict selction: he's a senior in college and a bit "ahead") made the comment recently : "No, I won't go in a dress for Halloween. I'm not that secure in my masculinity." He was making a joke, but of course I had to drag up photos of James in Drag from the last Drag Ball. I got a "holy shit, that's a guy?!" from more than one person. Then I had to explain drag ball. But generally the reaction was good.

James was sort of hot, in a skeevy french way. In my opinion though, Jake was the closest to passing.

I was showing off the black and white photos of James and Ben from the Fencing Website; I don't think James was too french in that one, he was more... je nais se quois... Mod.

Oh, I was thinking of the drag ball he went as a french prostitute. (At least, that's how I remember it. It might have been a very slutty french maid...)
