How do you define 'bad art'? I see this instance more as a humorous attempt to show why most people are NOT artists. Now, if I tried to sell a can of my own feces to an art museum, and my offer was accepted...

I have to admit I considered passing on Kitsune's request, but I didn't want to seem elitist. Still, I'd rather people got a usable drawing tool before requesting any "trade", whether it's returned to me or otherwise. Consider it common courtesy, because I wouldn't accept such things if he had asked first.

It's not a question of skill. Making an effort, at any level, is okay. It's just, if I had to struggle with MSPaint and a mouse I wouldn't be able to draw either! And that isn't fair to anyone. Especially as cameras, scanners and tablets come down in price.

On the other paw I don't want to see art memes die, just because people are using horrible tools. Because they seem like a good opportunity for people like me, who get nervous about serious trades, to improve. Do you think great artists are just born? Everyone has to start somewhere. It takes years, but I've seen dedicated people progress firsthand.

Unless you want to tell me you'd rather see more quizzes... :P
