In the 90's they called it "self-esteem" and not having enough of it was associated with all kinds of mental and emotional problems, as well as problematic behaviors. Two Main Nutrition/Health Issues
1. Leaky Gut -- an increase in intestinal permeability.
2. Lack of specific nutrients, leading to problems with the teeth, jaws, face, and head.
These seem to be two of the most significant health problems, that can be addressed effectively through nutrition, underlying a plethora of other diseases and conditions.

He "knew" her
Why does the Bible always explicitly mention that a couple "knew" each other every time anyone has a kid? In any other story, the "knowing" part would just be implied. I think maybe they are pointing it out for a reason. The sex act has enough spiritual significance to be mentioned. Isn't Christianity a marriage/sex cult, after all? Or, at least, ( Read more... ) -

What is required in order for consciousness to exist? How about subconscious? Is there a subconscious? Can "entities" ("demons?") for some sort of consciousness out of something other than a physical brain? Can an inanimate object have a TYPE of consciousness? Organizing books
I just had to record this vivid memory:
When I was 18 or 19 years old, I didn't have a huge book collection, but I had enough to fill one shelf that was about 6 feet long. Culture muddling our brains
I'm suddenly bemoaning the fact that I have to perceive everything--the world, etc.--through my brain. I mean, my eyes and ears, and then my brain. I'm bemoaning this fact because my brain, like every brain, is clouded by culture. Women are consumers
We (women) may be poorer than men -- we are paid less for the same work and we're more likely to be the ones filling low-wage jobs -- but we are consumers. One thing we consume is TV. Sexual exploitation (prostitution, etc) and Anarchy don't mix
Being Free from oppression and free from capitalism and money would automatically mean the end of prostitution -- it's so obvious. It's like Anarchy 101. I don't blame people for the things that are done to them or their means of survival, but I want a better world for all of us.
