Well, maybe not the exact date, but the general vicinity:

GUESTIMATED DUE DATE = DECEMBER 6, 2009

We just found out yesterday that I'm joining the "Mommy Club."

I know it's really early, and things could go wrong, but not talking about it just in case that happens didn't feel like an option to us.

Here's to a happy, healthy, QUIET baby! Dr appointment is on Thursday.

Tonight MJ and I went to my boss' house to celebrate the successful defense of one of his PhD students. One the way home (literally before even leaving the neighborhood), I saw a freshly-hit, large opossum dead in the road. At 6 weeks, Oz weighed 8 lbs. At 8 weeks, he weighed 11 lbs. Now, at 11 weeks, he weighs 22 lbs. He's almost as big (size- and weight-wise) as Dizzy.

My boss has been scolding his grad students for wasting money on bad science (poor experiments that lack proper controls or anything else that renders them invalid and therefore must be repeated).

A week after he brought it up, it was still an issue. Therefore, I have put forth a little extra effort to help get our lab on the right track:
