Today is my baby's birthday

Why I get my nails done and not my hair
My daughter (thank you very much) gave me a gift certificate for a free cut and color that she won at work. I called the beautician a month ago and today I finally got to go. Some days I really love the press - other days, not so much
Today was a love/hate day with the news. Our wonderful leader (you know, the one who is Bush's boss) Donald Rumsfeld had a press conference today and it became rather heated. Tonight I learned that my aunt had passed. She was actually my great aunt and 91 years old. She lived in the same city as me and I have memories of her from when I was a child, but she was never an important part of my life. Country Music
I'm not a fan of country music and I think I've heard every joke about "my dog named Blue" or "my pickup truck".....you get the idea. But these came to me in an email today. Some people shouldn't be parents
I've come to realize that my generation has raised a bunch of idiots. Because my gen was basically the first where both parents worked, and a lot of our kids were raised by grandparents or child care, our kids have no idea how to be PARENTS.Parenting isn't just "having a baby". Hormones.......................SUCK
UGH!!! Today is one of those days when all I want to do is EAT! Nonstop, anything that isn't frozen,or moldy. I hate these days. So I just have to eat fruit instead of the box of 24 maple buns, and the nineteen candy bars (thank you Becky) in the cupboard. I need ice cream. No, wait, popcorn. Maybe with ice cream on top! -
Strange relations
Every family has them. That odd aunt or crazy uncle that everyone spends time with because they have to, then go off and snicker about behind his or her back.
