BIG BIG SKY, my next novel, is a speculative queer fiction featuring five Assassin Warrior women who morph into monsters while running from the Battle waging society that created and formerly controlled them. It is a literary romp, a queer love story, and an anti-authoritarian kick in the military pants

so I wasn't sure who Nalo Hopkinson was when I read this yesterday, but then this morning I got an email from York's women's studies department advertising something she's taking part in over at the Women's Book Store for the Scream Literary Festival, and they had a description of her work and her accolades.

That is sooo cool!
