My grandmother passed away after a long battle with Sarcoma on Dec. 30th. She wanted to make it through Christmas. I'm glad she passed away quickly after getting her wish. The amount of morphine they had her on was mighty. It was a great Christmas...one that will be remembered fondly. Two of my closest friends came to the funeral with me on ( Read more... )

I don't know if I am a rockstar or crazy. I walked to work this morning. 4.5 miles of icy sidewalks. Note to people: DON'T SWEEP YOUR SIDEWALK! It just makes a icy mess for the walkers. Wow! That was an adventure. Saw my first bus when I was about 6 blocks away from work. Now, I am quite sore and tired. Oh well. At least I have a ride home ( Read more... )

My grandmother's cancer is back. The doctors have given her 6 weeks at most. I just hope that she lasts through Christmas, so we all get a chance to say our goodbyes. Plus, Christmas is her favorite holiday. She's handling it better than I expected. I'm glad she has made her peace with death. We really freaking need to find a cure for cancer ( Read more... )

This years Birthday was one of the most fabulous I have ever had. On my actual B-Day, Friday, I took the day off of work and slept in. Went and got my hair cut (rode my scooter all the way over to 15th and Harrison...yay!), then went to see Dar Williams with some lovely friends. The concert was great! Dar is such an amazing artist. I just had one of the best weekends of my life. Non-stop fun. Had one of those dates you wish would never end on Friday night, went to an amazing party on Saturday night (thanks Playhouse!!) and spent an incredibly beautiful Sunday playing in the sun. Life is so damned lovely right now, I feel as if I could just explode. YAY!

I am riding home from the Burn with a super sexy man that I am a bit excited about. Leaving Sunday, staying at Summer Lake Hot Springs for the night, getting home Monday evening. YAY! Oh, and the Man burns in 10 days.

I unloaded my 3 bins and tent at the BurnGreenExpress locker last night. It was hard for me to let go of my stuff 9 days before I get to see it again. It's now impossible for me to unpack, make sure I have everything, re-pack, repeat, like I usually do.
