Well, I AM in massage school, so the participation element is not lacking. I really think we are just doing this because he's being lazy. Fortunately I have no junk to kick. I am leaning towards writing it all out, WITH whatever legal ramifications I can scrounge up. I have a teaching degree, so I am aware of some of the reasons for doing things this way, but they really fall apart once your students hit puberty.
Dude, technically students ANYWHERE aren't supposed to see others' grades. It's privacy law stuff. You're not supposed to give out grades over the phone or email for the same reason. If I go ask about a grade in a class, I'm not allowed to see the screen. Why? It's a PRIVACY issue! As a student, it's not your problem that the dude next to you might have a learning disability. In fact, you're not even supposed to know unless he tells you deliberately. That's how it works.
If I was you, I'd write something to his superiors and say that allowing other students to grade your work is an invasion of teacher/student privileged information. This is total bullshit and you shouldn't have to put up with it!

But also he(?) might be following a specific pedagogy. However, I think that using this as the participation element fails.

>"No you're not, you just love everybody."
