Hey Kels, don´t worry, I won´t die. I actually got food poisoning yesterday, so I think that´s about as close to death as I plan to get for a long time.

Unfortunately, Ecuador no longer has it's own money. It switched to the US dollar in 2000 because of ongoing economic crisis. It's still pretty much in economic crisis, but now it just uses the dollar. Sorry :( I actually found a sucre coin on the ground the other day, and I've heard that they sell old sucres at some markets for like 2,500 sucres/dollar, so if I find any more or manage to find out which markets sell them, I will try to get some for you.
