I watched How to solve a Cryptic Crossword earlier - a combination of hints and tips, and the history of the puzzle - in the hope that I might maybe be able to do some. Then I printed off the one from today's Guardian, and got precisely zero clues. The quick crossword has proved a little more fruitful for now.

..because I'm going this weekend, and know very little about the place, other than that everyone tells me it's brilliant.

Any recommendations for accommodation would be especially welcome.

If you have never uploaded a movie to YouTube before, please do not think you need a special uploader. Uploading is the simplest thing in the world. This can be proved by observing that the kind of people who do it most are often barely sentient. So a YouTube uploader you do not need.

After standing in a stupidly long queue full of stupid people at the Post Office, I get to the front and realise my wallet's still full of Scottish notes. So I pick the Clydesdale Bank tenner, thinking it's probably the least offensive, and get met with an odd look. He turns to his colleague. What is this, is it Welsh money?

Someone mentioned breakfast in the West End. I find myself pining for the Grosvenor Cafe(I went to the Grosvenor of old once or twice, but it changed into its upstairs-only incarnation not long after I started uni. My local Sainsbury's seems to have rearranged itself a bit recently. All the useful things like pasta and sauces and sundries like that have been moved to random places around the store, to make room for lots of seasonal goods near the entrance.
