Got back from NY for about two days now. Brett's step brother works in NY and he had a daughter about two weeks ago. So Brett is officially an uncle now. Hey, I e-mailed Brett, but he never responded. Where are you guys? I kind of assumed you'd gone down to San Diego. Are you going to be around LA before the first?

well, he doesn't check his email too often because we have dial-up at home and he gets home late/tired everyday.

We won't go down to SD because his parents are still in NY. I guess that's it for the holidays. I will invite two friends over for dinner on Thursday night. And for new year's eve, we plan to be normal-- eat and go to bed early because Brett has to work on new year's day, probably early too.

So you should call us, because we only have a lifeline package for my phone, which means I can only do local calls. hehehe...

sorry i had to delete your question on my other entry. it had some political language in it that i should be associated with ;) i will be in xian in mid-february and will be teaching grad students in shaanxi shida :)
