Week 1 Round Up

Apr 15, 2012 14:11

And that is our first week of K-X done! Thank you everyone for your hard work in putting together your fics! Today, we're taking a bit of a breather, to let you catch up on reading fics you may have missed through the week.

Fic posting will recommence tomorrow!

And now, a note on commenting etiquette...

Please keep in mind that K-X is and always has been a writer-centric exchange, and thus, the fic you receive may not be perfectly tailored to each of your preferences. (And remember, that's what your sign up is: an expression of general preference, not an explicit request. We make this very clear at sign ups!) While you're under no obligation to say anything you don't mean - or even to comment at all - criticism of, specifically, a story's alignment to your general and in no way binding preferences is not acceptable. As the about post states, your sign up is meant to contain guidelines, not rules. Other than that, we only ask that you treat your fellow writers with politeness and respect. This is a small fandom, and what you say can and will affect other people's enjoyment of the exchange; we want to keep this a relatively friendly and enjoyable experience for everyone concerned.

Generally speaking, K-X has been a great community, and we appreciate that! Comments made within the community have thus far been overwhelmingly friendly and civil and there's no reason for that to change. Thanks for all your hard work and enthusiasm so far, and let's go out with a bang this week.

Edited to add: Lest a line referring to the letter of the exchange, not the spirit, be misinterpreted, we hasten to add: we do not encourage recipients not to comment. We very much encourage recipients to comment. However, failing to do so for whatever reason will not make you ineligible for future exchanges. In that sense, there is no obligation. But a polite comment of acknowledgment at the least is certainly the nice thing to do.

Hopefully that's sufficiently clear. ^^;
