This book is hard to start, and difficult to read. It is a kind of King Lear story of the man once great, now powerless, disillusioned, and physically dying, traveling through the ruins of his dreams. Educates a lot on the history Independence (which was my purpose), but makes one very depressed. Especially politically. Especially now
