Almost three weeks ago, I slipped on rainy back steps and my feet went out from under me. I managed to land in a way that twisted both knees really, really do not like to be twisted. You have my sympathies. I had knee surgery three weeks ago, and it's incredible what you can't do when your knees aren't working right.

I pressed _The Green Glass Sea_ on one of my 11th-graders this term. She loved it, even without knowing what the gadget was. She's looking forward to the Continuing Adventures...

Am hoping that by Wiscon (9 weeks), most of this will be behind me. It will probably not be the most bouncing-around auction I've ever done. (And there's not quite enough roomint he hot tub to move the whole thing there...)
