So a lot of my friends have found people a lot like their old friends at college. They've found "new" Sama, Alexs, Katies, and more. But I don't want to replace my old friends. I don't want a "new" Katie. I see no problem with the old one. I also see no reason to stop seeing my old friends just because I now live somewhere else and have ( Read more... )

Kristi-
I look up to you writing that. I think that was amazing and a big step to step out on the limb like that and post that. And if this makes you feel any better, you're not the only out there or in our group of friends from hs who feel like that...sometimes I feel exactly like that too (considering all 3 of my roommates do all the drinking and going to parties and stuff thing), so I really respect you for writing that.
Anyways, I should go, but we should definatly hang out when I come back on Winter Break or something. It'd be fun to see you again!
Love ya!

No no no, I don't know who this is, but you're getting what I'm saying all wrong!
I'm not trying to say that my new friends remind me or replace any of my old friends...I don't know where you came up with that, but that's not what I was talking about at all!
What I was trying to convey is I know where she's coming from and how I've been through some of those experiences also!
Of course I could never replace my friends from hs! They're one of a kind and I could never replace them...I don't know where you came up with that one, but it's definatly wrong from what I was trying to say!

I also think its incredibly stupid when all of my(purely freshman) house goes and gets drunk or even worse drinks shots in their room. lol guess thats why im not making too many friends as sad as that is. I would never want to replace my friends either and to tell you the truth it would be too hard to find a group as diverse and crazy as ours not to mention the very unique personalities... we need to get together sometime or something, like a big party. maybe a holiday party with cookies! i like the sound of that :) anywho. I am so on the same wavelength as you on this college life subject.

frost your own cookies??
anyway. i agree, theres no reason to replace old friends, just make new ones. i can't really speaking for the drinking thing since i'm in sub-free, so most of my friends (mostly girls from my section) don't drink or anything like that. i have to go to class now or i wuld expand more...
