Well, I made it through my first week of student teaching... except it was actually only half of a week, because the kids' first day was on Wednesday.  It's going to be tough, but I really like the school and the faculty, and the teacher I'm working with is very nice and laid back and good at communicating.  So far, I think it's going to be a good ( Read more... )

Well, I am moved back home and have mixed feelings.  I'm happy to be home, but I miss my room mates terribly already.  They were like my family for two years.  It's definitely a tough transition, but I am grateful I'll be home and away from it all... I think that will help me to really, really focus on student teaching next semester ( Read more... )

I got my student teaching placement yesterday!  I will be at Blue Ridge Elementary (Jefferson County) in 1st grade.  I've been researching, and it looks like an extremely nice, little school.  It's in Harpers Ferry technically but is only five miles away from Ranson, so it should only be about a half hour drive or so from Martinsburg every day...
