Today was busier than I have ever seen it. I guess a combo of it being the first of the month, the holiday coming, and the middle of high bill season probably helped. All the way up until about 5:30 the calls in queue did not drop below twenty. And the day just flew by...

whats your average hold time? i work in a call center too. customer service for security alarm systems for national retail chains. we are 24/7 so sometimes we get faster pickups at certian times, so our ave hold times might be slanted lower, but we had times today of 10 minutes. today was wow..

Average wait time yesterday was 11 minutes. Overall average is 1 minute. But we're itty bitty compared to your place. Just one city and parts of the surrounding county. You'd be surprised how many people don't have any idea how billing for utilities works, by the way...
