Of all the things I've done in the last couple of weeks one thing I've not done is update LJ. This isn't really the slow yet inevitable parting of intimate friends, if not lovers; rather it's a reflection of how I'm having enough trouble reading that I'm not writing ( Read more... )

They're not particularly impressive but are focussed on "giving people what they want" as much as "taking the shots I want".

That's how I feel about lots of mine too.

You tell me - you took the brief :-P

Are you going to pop me a CD round when you're done? Obviously no rush.

The photos are especially nice this time, best of all I didn't even know you'd taken a lot of them - your stalking skills have improved.

Same here. If I had known you were pointing a camera at me in that first one, I'd have raised my head - I'm afraid I find it terribly unflattering.

Do you want me to take it down?

I did give it some thought, but... nah. You apparently see something in it aside from the roll of fat under my chin, which itself has been seen many times by everyone who knows me. Thanks anyway.

The shots with Major Picton are nicer.

I wasn't much taken by Deadwood personally, but I'm sure you won't let that stop you. I would instead recommend trying Carnivale in preference, if you haven't already.

On the photos - I haven't found any that I didn't like in your latest batch, but saw more that I liked more in the earlier events. (How's that for cryptic and non-commmittal, eh?) As you're taking requests: I adored the beastie shots and demand to see more beastie shots in future; with or without pirate/non-pirate tottie attached. I don't mind. =)

Now - where's the rest of your post?

I've got Carnivale on DVD - I enjoyed it a lot. Very visually bold even if the story was a bit all over the place and ultimately unsatisfying.
